Observing children and Interviewing older people

I am a volunteer in a elementary school. My primary task is talking and playing with American kids. The first time I talked wiht them, they felt very shy. However, if they regard you as their friend, they would become open-minded and sociable. They also like to tell you their secrets
If in the public areas, it depends on their personalities. If a kid is extrovert. He likes active. In contrast, if a kid is introverted, he may very shy in the public areas.
I interviewed some older American people. I realized that they are very emphasize the quality of life when they get older. They don't care how old they are. They would prefer to live naturally. They don't like to bother their children and like to live lonely.

American family

I interviewed some friends and talked about American family.
The first thing surprised me is alomost all American family have more than one child. However, America does not have any overpopulation problems.
I think the strutch about American family is pretty much same like China. However, there are still have some differences. The traditionalChinese family is husband working and wife doing housework. However, in America, both of them are working.
One may concerned the life about elder people. I think they have good quality life. Government provides health care, insurances whatever if they want. They still can live with their children. The reasons that they live alone are they don't like become burdens for their children and they feel free live alone.
The big problem is divorce. The divorce rate is almost 40% in America. It has serious negaive influences for children.

The controversial issue-Multicultural

Nowadays, America is the most developed country in the world. Otherwise, America may keep its status for a while. One may concerned that why America has the absolute leading edge. In my conception, I think it includes two ways primarily: catched the unique opportunities and the phenomenon of mult-iculture.
Today, I am going to talk about influence of the multiculture. After CIVIL RIGHTS movement and before World WarII, America opened the door for immigrant without serious limitation. In order to get peaceful and good quality life, lots of talents immigrated to America. This resource was a big factor for the successful America. After World War II, the immigrant policy was limited by the talent people. It INSPIRED more genius to immigrate to America. The advanced workforce and unique environment MINGLED in America, eventually, America enhanced its status and created the multi-culture. Obviously, we can realize the advantagation.
However, criminal rate is becoming severe in some areas which have clear impact between different cultures. It is a part of shortage for multicultural.

Cherish life, please

I disagree that it’s legal to keep a gun in your own house. Gun is the most dangerous weapon; the most serious consequence is killing the people. I assume a story: Jack and Tom have some problems, actually, problems are not very serious, and they can sit and have a good conversation to solve problems. However, Jack feels very angry and wants to retaliate against Tom, he won’t kill Tom. The only weapon he has is gun. Jack holds the gun and goes to Tom’s house, he just want to shoot Tom’s leg. But Tom think Jack wants to kill him, in a addition, Tom uses his gun to protect himself and shoot for Jack. Obviously, gunfight is coming. Finally, both of them are dead. It is pitiful story, they are innocent, and the culprit is gun.

Sometime, during a short period, because people’s emotion, as a result, they cannot control their self. When they realize what they are did, unfortunately, it is too late.

Cherish life and away from guns

Ps: The crime rate in Texas( legal to hold guns) is much high than Wisconsin(illegal to hold guns)

The most respected people

I think the most respected people is my parents.
The night before I came to America, I had a short conversation with my father. My father told me: the most worried about you is your mother. She took care of you when you was born. She has never been leave you for such long time. Everytime you leave, she always has solicitude for you.
When I was in China, my father always told me some principles. I did not care, I thought he would like to put his ideas to impose on me. I felt very uncomfortable and argued with him. Sometime because my fault, makes my father felt very disappointed. Now I am in America. I understand my father's attentiveness exactly. I feel regretful that if I did like he said, I would much better.
The love from parents is selfless. They really want to their children know their experience in order to go the wrong way. When we argue with our parents, please understand and respect them.

Chinese people's belief

Recently, I heard a news about China: some people in some provinces in order to retaliate against the society, they use syringes with germ to attract pedestrians. As a result, many people were hitted and go to the hospital.
I felt so disappointed. What a serious behavior!
Back to the theme, I am going to talk about belief in China.
In ancient China, a few people support the Atheism, however, many people believe God is ture and bless them forever. When they face circumstance and bad situations, they believe God is watching them and will help them overcome bad situations. As a result, obeying commands and keeping patience become their main thought. So the ruler encourage civilians to belive God, because it could be more easy to control.
In current China, from the developing of technology acompanied with people change their mind. More and more people support the Atheism, in additon, government implements free religious belief policy. Residents have more options to choose. But a big problem is coming: people is becoming empty.
Back to event which I mentioned, if these bad guys believe God, they should know if they do bad behaviors and God will punish them finally! I have a question: where is their conscience?

Actually, this year is my second year in American. College life is prosaic, same processes: eatting, study, hang out with friend.
The diffierence thing when compared last year is I have the opportunity to contact academic class in American. I regietered eco and psy for the fall. Depend on the first week, I realized the competition during class is fierce. In addition, professors give student more space to develop their ideas, themes whatever. This phenomenon requested students have more independent ability to study. Apprently, it is big impact between Chinese and American.
I feel a few prussure about academic classes; however, I have confidence to overcome it. Challenge, on the other hand is a kind of impetus.

Advices

I think furnish the dorm is very easy. You shoud just need beds, desk, chairs and chest. Too many stuffs can make your dorm massy.

Easter day

My easter day was wonderfull. I went to Minnesota my roommate house during my easter day. We arrived his house on Saturday afternoon. The first thing was ate the Mexico food called Chipotle. Because it is my roommote and I favourite food. Then his mother cutted my hair. It was good. We also did the easter egg hunting on Friday. My roommate and I did 16 eggs. The most interesting event was scavenger. It was happen on Sunday morning. I foud 4 eggs. It was a surprise for his family. His mother also gave me an amazing surprise. She prepared a basket for me. It was so cute. At afternoon we moved to his uncle house and ate the easter dinner. It was wonderful. I likeed the dessert best. We had to move back at Sunday night. I missed his family so much!!

Rude behavior

1. My friend gave me a call said want to eat togethere. But when by that time, he used some pretexts to cancel the appointment. I was very angeral . Maybe his pretexts were ture, but he disrupted my plan.
2 I was sleeping in the dorm, some very loud guys were talking in the lobby.

Reflection of mindset

1. Even though I am very busy with job, but I also want to talk with my parents every day. Nowadays I already studied in America half year. This mean I was live by myself about half year. Even though the process of college life is fun, but I think I have a new understanding about the family. My roommate he told me God is his belief, God can help him easy to overcome the predicament. Because I am secular, so I think my family is my belief. They are an impetus for my American life. Therefore I tink I need to spend more time with my family when I am graduated. Family is your warm and fragrant harbour.
4 I want to have the personal space and time. When I confront the noisy society, I have a dream: I have a small cabin close to the ocean by a hill. Also there is a farm in front of my cabin and I feed some animals comprise chicken, sheep and cow etc. They can supply the food for me. So I can decide the time by myself. When fishing, When work out, When hang out with my family and friends etc. No pressure conflict and any unhappy phenomenon. Just enjoy the freedom and the natural world.
I want to own the Cayenne.
Cayenne is brand of car. It is SUV and belongs to Porsche. It is an emble about the stronge power, luxurious substance and active conquest.

Mindset of 2020

1. Even though I am very busy with job, but I also want to talk with my parents every day.
2. The environment of my hometown becomes changed.
3 Friendship is the second in my relationship.
4 I want to have the personal space and time.
5 I really hate fraud.

Here, many students are talking and making fun. Also it is very convenient for student who live in dorm, because you can eat and drink if you want, you can check your mail, get something about the recreation.

weather

I also remembered this situation. By the winter break, I with my friend went to China Buffet . When we on the way, the snow on the ground were so deep and the wind was so stronger. I have never see such snow before. We arrived to China Buffet. We did not control our month. Because it was so cold. I also know I need to buy a hat that I can back.
So it is the winter of Wisconsin. But currently we can't face that again. Because now is spring.
The weather becomes more and more warm. also we can see grass, because in winter the grassed were covered up by the snow. If you we can see grasses, probably the spring is coming!
Like some people said trees, flowers and grasses are the emissary of spring.

I was born in 1989, then move the time and in that period actually was 1889. China was called Qing dynasty and it was agricultural country. I possibly was born in a poor family and oppressed by the landowner. Then this situation will evoke my potential and study hard.
From my strived, I will have been hold the power of government and persuaded other officials to respect the talents.
In the end, from the generations to strive, the China from agriculture country became industrial country.

Service Learning

Last semester, my service learning was talk and play with people who has low intelligence. I think it was fun. From it I know how to communicate with different kinds of people.

This semester, actually I have preference for the Boys and Girls of the Greater Chippewa Valley.

Because I like kids also it is close to the compus. So I wrote it for my first choice.

But the Lauren sent me a mail, she told me I got a job to be volunteer with the New Beginnings, when I herd that I was a little disappoitment, after all, it is not my first chose. But I think I don't have any options. I have no idea about it, so just do it.
I hope I can from the service learning can improve my speaking technology. Actually it is a kind of recreation.

I also think every practices can give you experience, nevertheless, some of them are suitale for you, some of them are suitable for you, so you just pick up the part that suitable.

Club

Last semester, I belonged to the club called Best Buddies, but I did not have much time to enjoy it. This semester I belonged a new club called the first book. According to my plan, I want to find a club that can talk with people and improve my speaking skills, but I can't find this category.
Also I have a friend who works in the center and he know the president of the first book, so he told me to consoult the girl that is the president of the first book. So it is the reason that how can I know the first book, then I had a conversation with the girl. Also from my first impression about the club, I felt it is a nice club, so I applyed this club.
But I missed the first meeting that I missed more information about the club. So I just know only a little about the club, but I also sent a mail to the president of the club and she will give me more information about the club, but not yet. If you I get her mail so I will write more about the club

Hello, everybody. My name is Nick. This is the first time to write in English at log, so in this writing maybe has many grammar error or something and hope you don't care them.
Actually I think this week was not too bad, I think I have already to ready for classes because some time I was studied over winter break and take the civil rights travel, I think I probably get a little progress from them; in addition, I made many friends from the classes and very glad to see every professors.
For last week, I think it was wonderful, because when I moved to Horan Hall and saw my friends, I was so happy. They also told me how fun was their break and gave me many encourages for this semester.
For next week, I think will be hard. When I finished classes for this week, I also think my English was poor and I need more progress for my English, I have to study hard. I also think I will know more friends.
